Pa'ia
About Pa'ia

Just four miles into your drive to Hana from Kahului, you'll come across the historic, colorful town of Pa'ia. Spend a day in the town of rustic storefronts filled with local art galleries, mom-and-pop restaurants and cafes, and unique shops and boutiques, or head a short drive north to Ho'okipa Beach, known as the "Windsurfing capital of the world." During the winter, the big north shore waves make Ho'oKipa Beach a magnet for pro windsurfers and kite surfers, truly an awe-inspiring sight to behold. The beach is also home to green sea turtles resting up on the sand. Please note that these are wild creatures and have much respect here in the Hawaiian Islands, so please keep your distance and take your pictures from at least 20 feet away. North shore waters can be extremely dangerous, so please heed all posted signs for your safety.
